There's something I love about Valentines day because it's like you're almost

expected

to wear something super girly and feminine. I love outfits that feel so chic - so Jackie, Audrey or Diana. Something about putting in a little bit of extra effort makes all the difference.

Like I mentioned last week, I was hoping to get to show y'all a new skirt I have that would have been perfect for the occasion. Unfortunately the timing just didn't work out. Also, I didn't really think that chicken pox scars screamed girly! So the skirt will have to wait for now, but I still want to feature it when it gets a little warmer. Valentines day makes me feel like it's spring, so I break out all my pastels and shorts, but I'm very quickly reminded by the weather that it in fact is

not

 yet spring.

I originally thought I would just create the outfit I was planning on posting in a collage, but unfortunately the skirt isn't on the

website

anymore! It turned out to be a great thing though, because I found this super chic and feminine skirt instead!! I would almost say I like this outfit more because it really couldn't get any more girly. I kept with the feel of the skirt and added simple pieces that all have a little twist. I love playing with texture, and I think the necklace and clutch do that so well. Calf hair has been a recent obsession of mine, and this

one

from Anthropolgie just seemed perfect for this outfit. It also can't hurt that

everything is less than $150 :)

Have a great weekend!

Black has been my go to color this season. It's so effortless and chic, which is perfect for colder weather when all I want to do is wrap up under a blanket. A way to mix up a monochromatic outfit is by adding texture. My go-to jeans recently have been these citizen of humanity waxed jeans, which I scored for $50! I don't know if I like the jeans or price better!! Does this vest look familiar? I've been wearing it ALL. THE. TIME. {big props to the bro for getting me this one}. Earlier this week I featured it with lighter colors, but I love how it looks totally different in this outfit. It's a win/win either way!

Baseball hats are my absolute favorite. I grew up watching my brother play baseball, so hats were always around the house. It's perfect for second or third day hair, or, in my case, keeping my baby hairs out of my face! I especially love this one from the

MLB Hats

page of Fanatics because it's so classic. It has an adjustable strap in the back and a spot for your pony tail which is a necessity with long hair! Navy blue is the perfect color because it goes with everything and of course I had to pick a New York one!

The great thing about baseball hats is that they can be paired in so many ways. Although they look great with workout clothes, they're not limited to only that. By adding the right pieces, you can instantly make a chic outfit.

I styled this one two ways: edgy and preppy. Jeans and hats automatically look great together, so by adding different shirts and jackets, you can totally transform the look. A big statement necklace like this one from

Baublebar

adds major glam without looking like you tried too hard.

With all the bowl games approaching, a baseball hat to support your favorite team is the perfect way to go! Find your favorite team on

Fanatics

 website (they literally have everything).

How do y'all like to style your baseball hats? Let me know in the comments below!

I've been on the hunt for the perfect flannel and was immediately drawn to the colors of this one. I love how the back is longer than the front, which makes it easy to tuck in the front but still be covered in the back! And it's

actually

soft, like I want to sleep in it soft. These jeans are my fav for fall and winter. It's kinda hard to tell in the pictures, but it's actually this really pretty shade of light blue!

Be sure to check out my last post with
