For starters, I have to address the grain in these pictures!! That is one of the most frustrating things to me, but because of the setting sun and my lack of camera settings knowledge, it had to be grainy or nothing!

Growing up, we used to always cut down our Christmas trees in the snow, which has become one of my favorite Christmas memories. Living in Louisiana though, it was nearly impossible to find a farm where you could actually cut down your own tree. Since we're back in Houston now, I was determined to find a place where we could actually cut down our own trees again! We were able to find one of the cutest places ever, Old Time Christmas Tree Farm. It was a little bit of a drive out there, but I think it was more than worth it. They are so efficient and I was thrilled to be able to actually cut down our own tree again! Unfortunately, there wasn't any snow, but I'll take what I can:)

For those of you interested in the Cyber-Monday sales going on today, make sure to check out my last post (

here

). Although I made this for Black Friday, the majority of the stores listed are online or have some online component, and therefore should still be having equally as good deals!

Thanks for reading!

There are always those things that make me realize it's

actually

summer: longer nights, sunburns and days that are way too hot. There's nothing better than a lightweight t-shirt and flowy shorts on a warm day. Actually, add in an open sunroof and a sonic slush and then it's perfect!

One of my favorite summer pieces is always a new swimsuit. I'm not a fan of wearing the same outfits that it seems like

everyone

is wearing, and that especially applies to swimsuits. At the same time, I don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on something as simple as a swimsuit! It can be hard to find different but affordable suits, which is why I love sites like

Zaful

. They offer a ton of great suits, but even better is that a lot of their

swimsuits

are almost exact replicas of ones that retail for hundreds or even thousands of dollars. Zaful offers them at a fraction of the price! It's a win-win situation!

As I was going through their site, I found two that I instantly fell in love with. The

first

suit screams city chic to me, which is why I paired it with a simple black sundress (that can double as a cover-up) and an oversized hat. Annddd Morgan Stewart from 'The Rich Kids of Beverly Hills' may or may not have worn one on the show that was identical. (She did)

.

The other

tie-dyed

swimsuit is perfect for a day at the lake or for just lying out. The print is adorable and would look perfect paired with a distressed pair of denim shorts! It's hard to believe that both of these swimsuits are $15 or less!

Let me know which look is your favorite in the comments below!

As we all know by now, I definitely gravitate towards neutral colors. A great way to add a lil bit of excitement to a basic outfit is with details. To pull out the eyelet details of the skirt, I paired it with a lace crop top. The details not only complement each other, but break up an otherwise simple color palette. And of course, you can never go wrong with a pop of color in a necklace!
