outfit inspiration: minimalism

Big surprise - another outfit inspiration! As much as I love big jewelry and embellished clothing, it's always nice to keep it simple with a minimalistic outfit.

I love minimalistic outfits because they're so easy to throw on and just go.

When it comes to a simple outfit, it's all in the details. In the first collage, "Sight Seeing", the delicate lace details from the bralet perfectly contrast the smooth, crisp leather of the bucket bag. In the more formal outfit, "The Office", the asymmetrical hem of the skirt adds a depth and touch of excitement to an otherwise simple look. Lastly, in the "Running Errands" look, the subtle print on the sandals adds just enough to spice up an otherwise simple look.

I mentioned in the last

post that the collages were for something special I'm excited to share with y'all soon. I know we all hate when someone taunts us with something but won't actually tell us, so I want to reveal a little more about it to all of you today!

I'm working on, and hopefully will "launch" in the next month or so, a new website!! The new site, named The Retail Vault, is totally different than Charlton Lee, although it's still fashion related. In a very quick summary, the new site is a destination for online shopping. More to come later... :) In the mean time, you can follow along on

outfit inspiration: accessories

Today's post is a little different and I'm so pumped to share it with y'all! As a part of something very exciting I'm working on (

and will be sharing with y'all very soon

), I've put together three outfit inspiration collages focusing on how to incorporate more accessorizes into your style. There are three different looks: weekday, weekend, and girls night out. I kept the clothes simple with just a white t-shirt for all of the looks to really add emphasis to the accessories.

Let me know which look is your favorite in the comments below!

Tweed is one of my favorite parts of winter fashion. It's so effortless but makes me feel like I'm strolling the streets of Paris. I personally feel that a tweed dress is not complete without pearls!

With Christmas Eve coming up, this would make a great outfit for any church service or other holiday party you may be attending. This was my Christmas Eve service dress last year, but I'm still completely in love with it.

Check back Monday for my Christmas Eve service outfit for this year!

I'm completely in love with this skirt. I know everyone and their mom has already posted, bought and worn it, but I still love it. I got mine early last fall when this blog was still just a thought, but I love it so much that I still had to feature it.

The clutch is part of the 3 in 1 bag I featured a couple weeks ago for a

travel look

. The bag it came with is reversible, and features this inside pocket plus a pouch for smaller essentials. The fact that I can reverse the big bag sold me enough, but this inner "clutch" was the icing on top.

I hope everyone has a great week!
