All. Time. Favorite. Dress. Ever.

I'm so pumped to introduce to y'all one of my all time

favorite

stores, Shein (previously Sheinside). Let my preface by saying I'm in no way sponsored by them, I just really love them this much! I initially found the online store years ago, and have loved it ever since. A few months ago, I was in desperate need of more clothes but didn't want to spend thousands to get it. Shein was the perfect answer! Because of their more than reasonable prices, you can score tons of adorable new pieces without breaking the bank!

This dress in particular was one that was totally calling my name. I love anything flowy, bohemian, and printed (

so basically all of Free People

), so when I saw this dress for less than $25, I was sold!! I've been trying to not wear it every single day, but when I do wear it everyone always loves it! The fall colors of the print make it the perfect transition piece, or fall dress for a place like Texas that doesn't

really

experience fall! This same dress comes in a ton of other colors, and I'm actually pretty in love with the

black

version. You can never have too many boho dresses, right?:)

Thanks for reading!

As I've matured in my sense of style, I've also matured in my shopping

.

There's nothing wrong with a good Forever 21 shopping spree, but I've found that it's easy to get persuaded by cheap prices instead of the actual quality of the items. I've really tried to focus more on

quality

rather than

quantity

. Quality doesn't always have to be the most expensive option though. The other day I heard someone talking about the "price per wear" of an item, which I think couldn't be more accurate. If you're going to wear a pair of jeans 200 times, then paying $200 isn't that ridiculous. But if you're only going to wear them once or twice, then the "investment" hasn't paid off. Trends, like gladiator sandals for example, will eventually be replaced by a new one next season. Although trends do come back in style, the newest version is modified to look fresh and up to date. I love a good vintage piece, but personally I know I would rather have a newer version of a trend than try to make an original version work. Because of that, I chose to spend less on trends, but invest in pieces that I know will last me for years. A good pair of jeans, a simple clutch and nice jewelry will never be a bad investment!

There's something about a minimalistic outfit that continues to catches my eye. I've always thought that there is nothing more chic than a simple outfit that screams effortless but still looks flawless. You know what I'm talking about: that "model off-duty" jeans and a t-shirt look that we all hate to love! I'm so glad this has come back as a trend, so now those days when I'm actually just being lazy can be mistaken for trendy! After reading

How to Be Parisian

, I've had a whole new admiration for the Parisian-chic style. I've really tried to adapt the "less is more" philosophy in all aspects of my life.

I think a big part of pulling of the minimalistic look is the quality of the pieces. Something like a nice pair of jeans or a clutch that has been crafted with clean lines can pull together an outfit to make it look way more expensive than it may actually be. Websites like

Farfetch

are perfect for items like this. They offer a wide range of brands and prices so anyone can find their own perfect item. Another

huge

reason to check them out is for their sales! I 100% believe in investing in good pieces, but I don't think that means having to pay full price.

Farfetch

is great because they sell items that are amazing quality, but also have major markdowns so that it doesn't have to break the bank!

Makeup is no exception to the "less is more" mindset. You can never go wrong with just a simple concealer-mascara combo, especially for everyday summer makeup. It creates that effortless look by pulling together an outfit without looking overdone.

What do y'all think of minimalism? I'd love to hear in the comments below!

Hey y'all! I hope everyone had a wonderful and relaxing Memorial Day weekend. A big thank you goes out to all the selfless men, women, and the family of these people who served our country to the end. A 'thank you' doesn't even begin to approach how grateful I am.

Growing up, I absolutely hated black and blue together. I still think it's a tricky combination to pull off, but when I saw this dress I knew I had to have it. The two-piece illusion and black mesh detail in the back totally make the dress. And can we just talk about these shoes!! I've seen them on countless blogs and Pinterest boards, and so I finally made the investment and got my own pair.

Best decision ever

. Every time I've worn them,

everyone,

and I mean just about everyone, stops me to ask about them. I feel like I should have just named this post "the best of my wardrobe" because all these pieces are hands down my favorite pieces of the moment. I was watching Project Runway this last fall and saw one of the models in this to-die-for necklace, so obviously I had to get that too! It adds such a bold statement to any outfit.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Monday! Can y'all believe Thursday is the start of 2015?? I still think 2010 was last year! I love New Years though...it's like your subconscious automatically wants to change for the better, no matter how hard you try not to. I also really love NYE for all the sparkles. Whatever may seem over the top or crazy on any other day is under dressed.

When I saw this top I instantly fell in love. A local vintage store was selling it for less than $50 so I obviously had to have it! The neckline makes it, but there's nothing I don't love about it. It fits like a glove and the corset bottom smooths everything out. I paired it over a black skirt so none of the details would be lost, but it looks just as good tucked in or with black skinny jeans.

I hope everyone has a great NYE!
