Oh my goodness, how good does it feel to finally be back with a new outfit post! I don't want this to turn into a ramble-fest of excuses for the lack of posts around here, but I feel like I should explain what's been going on lately! In summary, my last few months have looked a little something like this: moved to Texas (

I still need to try breakfast tacos, so leave a comment below with any recommendations you have!

), started my senior year of high school, applied to colleges, senior pictures.... y'all get the idea! Anyways, I'm hoping that I'll be able to maintain a little more consistency with the posts, but know that I'm wishing I could if it's not!

This outfit has been one on my mind for

months

! I was approached by Mirina Collections, the makers of this FAB handmade necklace, and ever since have had a million ideas running through my mind on how to style it! I was initially drawn to it because of the fringe and copper - two things I've been obsessing over lately, that also happen to be major trends! I love how it instantly glams up any outfit and makes such a statement without having to put any thought into your look. It's one of those pieces that almost guarantees a million compliments! Mirina Collections also has a ton of other amazing necklaces if this one isn't your cup of tea (loving

one!). If you weren't in love enough already, I have a very special promo code just for my readers! If you use "

I scored these heels on major discount at Saks Off Fifth towards the beginning of August, so I was pleasantly surprised when I saw they were still available! They've been the perfect go-to pair of heels, so I definitely recommend checking them out before they're gone! I love the juxtaposition of this outfit between minimalistic and boho. These are all pieces that I wear all the time, so the necklace and heels are the perfect additions to transform the look into something unique! This was one of the outfits I wore for my senior pictures, so I wanted to make sure and give y'all the full look and details before I showed any of the professional pics;)

Thanks for reading!

xoxo

One of my favorite tv shows is definitely Gossip Girl. From the macaroons to the glamorous parties, I love to indulge in a few good episodes of the "scandalous lives of Manhattan's elite". Anyone who has seen the show will understand the over-the-top yet flawless wardrobes of the stars of the show, particularly Blair and Serena. I have always been torn between who I liked better as a character: Blair or Serena. But when it comes down to it, Serena wins my vote due 100% to her amazing outfits. Those stylists knew what they were doing!

One of my favorite outfits of Serena's was in the

pilot

of Season 5. Something about the bold, pink palazzo pants and Parisian chic hat has always stuck with me. When I saw these pants last summer, I knew they were the perfect piece to recreate her iconic look. Not only was I able to channel my inner SVDW, but I was able to do it at a fraction of the cost!

Let me know what y'all think about "get the look" posts in the comments below!

Hey y'all! I hope everyone had a wonderful and relaxing Memorial Day weekend. A big thank you goes out to all the selfless men, women, and the family of these people who served our country to the end. A 'thank you' doesn't even begin to approach how grateful I am.

Growing up, I absolutely hated black and blue together. I still think it's a tricky combination to pull off, but when I saw this dress I knew I had to have it. The two-piece illusion and black mesh detail in the back totally make the dress. And can we just talk about these shoes!! I've seen them on countless blogs and Pinterest boards, and so I finally made the investment and got my own pair.

Best decision ever

. Every time I've worn them,

everyone,

and I mean just about everyone, stops me to ask about them. I feel like I should have just named this post "the best of my wardrobe" because all these pieces are hands down my favorite pieces of the moment. I was watching Project Runway this last fall and saw one of the models in this to-die-for necklace, so obviously I had to get that too! It adds such a bold statement to any outfit.

Thanks for stopping by!

xx

citizen of humanity

Black has been my go to color this season. It's so effortless and chic, which is perfect for colder weather when all I want to do is wrap up under a blanket. A way to mix up a monochromatic outfit is by adding texture. My go-to jeans recently have been these citizen of humanity waxed jeans, which I scored for $50! I don't know if I like the jeans or price better!! Does this vest look familiar? I've been wearing it ALL. THE. TIME. {big props to the bro for getting me this one}. Earlier this week I featured it with lighter colors, but I love how it looks totally different in this outfit. It's a win/win either way!
