Happy Monday, y'all! I recently purchased

these

black ripped jeans and I can't stop wearing them (

clearly

). The last time I styled them (

see it

here

) it was also with a blue top, but this oversized sweater and booties give it a completely different look. I found this exact sweater on sale at Topshop on Black Friday, but thankfully they have two that are almost identical that are still both under $70. To even out the dark hues, I added a basic pair of grey

booties

and this amazing beaded

necklace

Thanks for reading!

For starters, I have to address the grain in these pictures!! That is one of the most frustrating things to me, but because of the setting sun and my lack of camera settings knowledge, it had to be grainy or nothing!

Growing up, we used to always cut down our Christmas trees in the snow, which has become one of my favorite Christmas memories. Living in Louisiana though, it was nearly impossible to find a farm where you could actually cut down your own tree. Since we're back in Houston now, I was determined to find a place where we could actually cut down our own trees again! We were able to find one of the cutest places ever, Old Time Christmas Tree Farm. It was a little bit of a drive out there, but I think it was more than worth it. They are so efficient and I was thrilled to be able to actually cut down our own tree again! Unfortunately, there wasn't any snow, but I'll take what I can:)

For those of you interested in the Cyber-Monday sales going on today, make sure to check out my last post (

here

). Although I made this for Black Friday, the majority of the stores listed are online or have some online component, and therefore should still be having equally as good deals!

Thanks for reading!

A simple cashmere sweater is the perfect piece to throw on for a day at a coffee shop or running errands. I love throwing on a big sweater with leggings. These leggings are great because they're simple, but a little bit more dressy with the leather paneling on the side.

I hope all of y'all have a great week!

Something about this sweater instantly drew me in. I've always been a sucker for neutrals, but the unique details like the slits and hem added a little more excitement. At first, I thought it was a dress, but quickly changed my mind once I tried it on! I paired a basic pair of leather inspired leggings under it for ease, but a sheer pair of tights would also look fab. I'm loving the simple pop of blue, because it really makes a statement without taking away from the other details!

On another note, I've been binge watching 90210 on Netflix and can I just say how amazing it is!! I don't know why it's taken me so long to watch, but I'm so glad I started it! Without giving away any details to those of you who still want to see it, something major happened and it's really changed the way I view things. One of the characters, Raj, is introduced as "the boy with leukemia". As the show goes on, his attitude towards the situation has made a big impact on me. Instead of throwing non-stop pity parties (and who could really blame him if he did), he's dedicated to making the most of the time he does have. Watching the other characters complain about insignificant things while he's going through chemo makes me think about my own life and all the ways I take what I have for granted. Then today, I heard the song "I Live" by OneRepublic and the timing couldn't have been better! ["I hope when the moment comes, you'll say I did it all"]. Between Raj and the song, I've just been so incredibly inspired to really make the most of every day and every opportunity I'm given.

I know this totally is not what you were expecting to read when you saw a picture of a sweater, but one of the reasons for starting this blog was to share my heart with y'all and I couldn't think of a better opportunity to share this eye-opener than with y'all! I hope y'all have an amazing weekend and make the absolute most out of it!

xoxo
